Have you ever thought about quitting kibble?
I remembered that my pal Dr. Harvey has a new food which he introduced at Global Pet Expo 2013.
Dr. Harvey's new food is called Oracle. It is his first recipe that has everything you need in the bag. He makes some recipes where your human has to add meat from the grocery store. They are pawsome if you have a human who can cook, or if you eat raw meat. Mom isn't ready to serve chunks of raw meat yet. She keeps whining that it would require too many trips to the store, or use up all of her freezer space.
Oracle contains freeze-dried raw meat. It doesn't use up any freezer space, and it doesn't require visiting a butcher/grocery store every 3 days. BOL!! Dr. Harvey sent a bag of Chicken Oracle for me to try. It is so easy to prepare that even Mom can do it. BOL!! All she has to do is mix it with hot water. I have several pals who are fed raw meat and they like Oracle for traveling/camping. They also say Oracle is great to have at home for when their humans can't go to the butcher, or when there is a power outage.
How to feed Oracle:
Step 1: shake the bag to evenly mix the ingredients.
Step 2: scoop out the correct serving size of Oracle for your weight. (I gain weight easily, so I get half the recommended amount. I also get a multivitamin everyday to make sure I get as many vitamins as a dog eating the full recommended amount of food.)
Step 3: measure hot water equal to the amount of food.
Step 4: mix the water and the Oracle.
Step 5: Put it on the floor where I can reach it. BOL!
Now that's I've shown Mom how easy it is to feed Oracle, she has to read the ingredients. She recognizes several health food items and supplements in addition to regular food items.
Mom's conclusion: Oracle is a healthy, nutritious, balanced meal.

Now for the part I've been waiting for - tasting! I could tell from the smell at Global Pet Expo that it would be delicious! I kept sniffing the air and licking my lips the whole time Mom was visiting at the booth. BOL!! I was right, it's yummy!
Yes, I cleaned my plate, but Mom will still wash it. I keep trying to help by doing the dishes, but Mom still washes them herself anyway.
I am happy to be kibble free!
I know what all of my #PetChat pals want to know - "How's my POOP?" BOL!! I am happy to say that it is nice and solid.
Dr. Harvey also sent me some Power Patties. He knows I have loved these since I was a puppy! I haven't been able to get them very often since we moved a few years ago. Mom finally found the address of a shop about any hour away that carries Dr. Harvey's products. She used the store finder on Dr. Harvey's website.
There is only one ingredient in Power Patties: freeze-dried beef green tripe.
These are very delicious! No dog that I know can resist them.
Yummy! I love Power Patties!
All of Dr. Harvey's products are natural and made in the USA - at their own facility. There are no added chemicals, no preservatives, no synthetic additives, and no artificial

Thank you Dr. Harvey!!

Thank you SO much, Pep, for saying exactly the way we feel about it being the perfect food for us--that also enabled us to go kibble-free just like you! Everyone with finicky dogs like Barkly should try it and have it on hand for at all kinds of unplanned & emergency situations! Those dogs will feel just as pawsome as you, Vlad & Barkly!
ReplyDeleteOkay, it's obvious we have to get more finicky. We wolf down our kibble like it was filet mignon, and look what we're missing! BOL!!
ReplyDeleteBOL agree with Hershey and Winkie, we are soooo missing out :) xx0xx
