Ok, this photo is the back door, but that's the door I use! BOL!! It is across the street from the park!
We arrived early enough to pick out my Easter cookie before they were sold out! I love the pretty cookies! I get one each holiday!
I sniffed around the store for a bit before we went to the park to join the other dogs. |
I do love to sniff around all the noms! BOL!! They have such a nice selection and some are low enough for me to get a good sniff!
There were lots of people and dogs there, big dogs and little dogs, and all the sizes between! They had some rescues there with adoptable dogs, hoping to find some homes for them. |
I saw a big fluffy Malamute with his owners!
There were fun doggy activities like paw painting.
This is the cookie I got for doing "shake" |
I played this game! You pick a duck and do what trick is written on bottom of duck! My duck was "shake".
I played Musical sit, it is like musical chairs, but for dogs. You walk in a circle and when the music stops, dog has to sit, the last dog to sit is out.
I won these cookies playing musical sit! These are only half of what was in the bag, mom gave the other half to the dog who was second because she said that was too many for me to eat.
Then it was time for the big egg hunt! They told us all to get behind the orange flags. Then they sprinkled eggs all over the ground! Lots and lots of pretty eggs filled with noms!
I got ten eggs! They had little cookies inside!! Nommy!!
I'm so happy with my eggs! I can open them up all by myself!
After the egg hunt we sat in the shade to rest a bit. We saw some nice dogs nomming their cookies!
These Shiba Inu even had ice cream! |
I saw a doggy wheelchair up close for the first time, sweet Pug was driving it. |
Then we went home and I was able to take off my harness and Chillypup pack. It worked! I stayed cool the whole time! The solid white one is fresh out of the fridge, the one that is almost all clear is the one I was wearing. When it is all clear, it needs to go back in the fridge or some ice water to recharge. It came in a vest, but I was too small, and the vest with 2 packs was too heavy. Mom sewed a little pocket that holds one pack and attached it to my harness. It fits great, I can walk and run with it on, and it is only 2 pounds, so it isn't too heavy for me. Mom carries me when I get tired, so it's really her carrying the extra weight most of the time. BOL!!! After we played musical sit, I made her carry me until the egg hunt started. Since mom was carrying me half the time, we didn't get any photos of me in the park! Ooooops!!! BOL!!! When I am tired, I just sit and look up at her.
Thanks for sharing my recent adventure with me! I would love to hear of any of your fun Easter activities, any tricks to keep cool when it's hot, or how you tell your humans it's time for them to carry you! Paw waves and Happy smiles!
Just adorable!!! Thanks so much for sharing...:)) Precious!
